Animal Farm was written by George Orwell in the 1930s, but it wasn't published until the 1940s. The story is an allegory about the Russian Revolution. In the novel, animals take over Manor Farm after the owner, Mr. Jones, forgets to feed them. They vow the mistreatment they received under man (their only enemy) will never happen again. Little did they know, they were only allowing history to repeat itself.
